Helping Daddy...or not?

Here in Western Michigan, we get winters of Biblical proportions: snowfalls that make Chicago look balmy by comparison, and sun deprivation for months at a time. But we also tend to get late freezes, because of the lake. So I shouldn't have been surprised to find today that I had gotten behind my garden: there were tomatoes, peppers, and even a lone strawberry waiting to be picked.

I noticed this when Alex and I went out to rake the leaves together. She was helpful for a while, as the pictures below show, but things degenerated as they tend to do and eventually she was being...ahem...counterproductive. It was a great time! I also include a picture of Alex and I going trick or treating last Saturday in downtown St. Joe. It was her first time out for Halloween, and she went as a cow. Good times.

Raking with Daddy More raking with Daddy Raking goes awry Trick or Treat!
