Hope that no matter what happens, God is taking care of us

Many of you know that we are big Veggie Tales Fans. Well, in "An Easter Carol" when everything seems to be going down the tubes, Rev. Gilbert (aka Dad Asparagus) says to Edmund (aka Junior Asparagus) "We've just got to have hope." To which Edmund replies, "Hope for what?"

"Hope that no matter what happens, God is taking care of us."

Despite the diligent prayers of many, our house in Michigan still hasn't sold. It is easy for us to feel down about this (especially combined with the lack of sunshine the last couple weeks). About a week ago it looked as if Alex and I would have to come back to the US in a month or two for me to work. Although we felt very sad about the idea of our family being separated for a time, we did not believe that it indicated failure on our part or that God did not call us here. All that said, we felt quite hopeless.

"We've just got to have hope." "Hope that no matter what happens, God is taking care of us."

Happily, God has provided a way for us to stay here until June as planned. We are incredibly thankful! Praise God with us!

We are still on shaky ground financially and would appreciate your prayers. We have applied for some funds for next year that were not available to us this year. Please continue to pray for our house to sell and for the people who will buy it.
